For digital mixers, the M480 series of microcontrollers is equipped with the DPS for different types of sound processing. After processing the input sound data with a high-performance algorithm, sound effects with unique sound fields output. Besides processing sound data for the background sound effect of a stage performance and DJ parties, the M480 is suitable for use in large conferences and multi-unit connection. After inputting data from sources including SD cards, USB disks, SPI flash memory, or microphones, the M480 supports output to Bluetooth speakers, USB speakers, or analog speakers after mixing.

Nuvoton’s NuMicro^® M480 is ARM Cortex^®-M4F-based with a core speed of 192MHz and FPU (floating-point unit) and DSP (digital sound processor) support to effectively enhance the efficiency of various types of sound processing, such as filters, complex sampling value, linear interpolation, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), etc. Large memory space of 512KB flash and up to 160KB SRAM support storage of built-in sound source files. The SPIM interface is equipped to read external SPI flash memory for expansion up to 32MB. Other features include up to 5 two-way I²S supporting a sampling rate of 192KHz at 32-bit for high-quality audio, high-speed USB 2.0, and full-speed USB 1.1 ports for developing various USB sound devices, such as e-sport headsets, UAC sound cards, high-performance digital mixers, etc.
